Dr. John Fitzgerald
Dr. John Fitzgerald received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario in 1990. After graduating he moved to Ottawa with his wife and classmate, Dr. Micaela Fitzgerald. Together they have serviced the Ottawa area for over 25 years. Dr. John has continued his education with an emphasis on cosmetic, restorative, implant and CAD/CAM dentistry. He enjoys working with patients of all ages to achieve healthy, sustainable and beautiful smiles. His love of dentistry has also lead him to Jamaica, where he has volunteered to provide much needed dental services in rural areas. While living in Ottawa Dr. John has enjoyed coaching his kids in hockey and soccer, running in the Ottawa race weekend, skiing and cycling in the Gatineaus, and finding his happy place in yoga!
Dr. Micaela Fitzgerald
Dr. Micaela Fitzgerald received her Bachelor of Science degree (Physiology) in 1986 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1990 from the University of Western Ontario. After graduating Dr. Micaela associated in Manotick for seven years before joining her husband, Dr. John, in practice. Dr. Micaela has continued her studies in all areas of dentistry including restorative, cosmetic and CAD/CAM dentistry. She enjoys working with all ages and offers nitrous oxide sedation. Dr. Micaela is an active member of the dental community serving on the Ontario Dental Association General Council, the Ottawa Dental Society Gala Committee and working with the Dental Hygiene students at Algonquin College. She has also enjoyed volunteering her time to provide dental care to people in need in Jamaica. When out of the office, Dr. Micaela likes to pursue many passions including: scuba diving, running (Boston Mararthoner!), cycling, yoga, reading and her greatest love -- spending time with her two children, Jacob and Erik.

Joanna has been working as a dental hygienist at Fitzgerald Dentistry for 23 years. She enjoys helping people have healthy and happy smiles. Jo like to make people laugh and feel confident about their teeth. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her friends, family and 2 cats!
Duye
Duye graduated dental hygiene school in 2012 and has been working as a dental hygienist at Fitzgerald Dentistry since 2021. Her favourite part of the job is the rapport and variety of patients. Duye enjoys rowing, cooking and eating through her paycheck!

Shayan is a dental assistant. She enjoys helping patients with health, confidence and their overall experience at the dental office. She especially enjoys educating patients on oral health, unknown facts and supporting them through nervous visits. Fun fact: Shayan does spoken word poetry!

Maya is a student at the University of Ottawa, and has been working as a sterilization tech and dental assistant since September 2025. She enjoys being able to interact with patients and support the clinic workflow. In her spare time, Maya enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and playing sports.
Brielle
Brielle is a student at the University of Ottawa and has been working as a sterilization tech and administrator since May 2025. She enjoys chatting with patients and staff. Outside of work, Brielle enjoys travelling, crocheting, and baking.
